I chose to read an article called "Honourable Al Shaymaa J. Kwegyir, an albino in Tanzania". In this article, they talk about people born as albinos. The reason I decided to read this article is that I was intrigued by the title and curious about the albino people who lived in Tanzania. People who were born with oculocutaneous albinism (which causes someone to be born without any pigment making them pure white) in Tanzania, they were labeled as cursed saying that there's a problem with them. "Her mother always assured her there was no problem. For many other albinos, it’s a very different story. Not only are they often cast out by their own families, in some tribes, they are killed immediately after birth, and they are commonly hunted down and murdered because their body parts are used by witch doctors." This quote demonstrates our theme of the negative effects of discrimination on society by showing how terribly someone can be treated because of their skin color. I believe that this story is important because it shows how badly someone can be treated because of something they can't change, their skin color. The people in this story who had oculocutaneous albinism (meaning they have no pigment in their skin) were called cursed and were often killed at birth, and what's worse is witch doctors would use their body parts in potions, "the body parts of albinos are sought by witch doctors for use in potions sold to bring wealth and good luck."
What happened in the last 2 weeks.
In the holidays I did many things despite being a major introvert. But I was mainly cleaning around the house. One day I was cleaning I swept the floor and mopped twice. On another day I washed all the outdoor windows and cleaned my desk in my bedroom, and for the first time, I cooked for my whole family I made pasta, rice with broccoli, and cauliflower and made an amazing pasta sauce. I also went to a group hangout where I met lots of my friends, friends from their schools, and went to our old school but there were lots of little kids there so we left. One night I had only one hour of sleep. Near the end of the holidays, I got really depressed and more self-conscious about myself and cried for about 2 hours-ish after watching a really sad movie. I Had also done some yoga and other exercises.
A big tree in my backyard was cut down by a friend of a family friend and he stayed with us during the weekends for 3 weeks.

In the holidays I hung out with some friends and went to the dairy. I also went up to Auckland to see my grandmother and my father. My father bought some horses, but sadly we couldn't ride them. I went horse trekking with my grandmother as well as two of my little cousins, Jessica and Georgia. Michaela came over twice but Thomas only came once. I was attacked by:(Dog) Puppy shes terrifying, she bit me in the knee. (Cat) Misty shes soft but she doesn't like me she scratched me. (Dog) Fern shes young she scratched.

In Health we were set a task that required us to find out the opinions of people and how they feel about Gender issues in sport for Transgender people. I work in a group with Thomas.

This is what i have.
The incident of Amari stealing the scroll helped me to understand the important idea of sadness because it showed me when her friend Binta died. We see this in the text when Binta is killed “One moment Binta stands. In the next, fathers sword plunges through her chest”. This means that King Saran, Amaris' father, killed Binta.
